MAXI-JET AQUARIUM POWERHEADSPowerful, adjustable pump or powerhead. Maxi-Jet® powerhead and pump is ideal for powering undergravel filters or creating internal water movement from its fully rotational output. Maxi-Jet pump mounts to aquarium walls using strong, triple suction cup mounts (included). Pump's adjustable directional flow pushes water to anywhere it is needed. Provides needed circulation for reef and invertebrate inhabitants. The Maxi-Jet® pump includes equipment necessary to convert to powerhead. Powerhead incorporates a venturi aeration device to provide optimal aeration and gas exchange in the aquarium. A silencer keeps the venturi aeration device operating quietly. An adjustable air filter permits the user to fine-tune air volume and water mixing as desired. The intake tube adapter with pre-filter screen prevents gravel or loose material in the aquarium from getting into the pump. (replacement pre-filter sponge 2-pack also available) Great for wavemaker adaptations. See the Wavemaker timer and power bar below.

PENGUIN AQUARIUM POWERHEADSBetter surface agitation with adjustable-direction flow Penguin PowerHeads deliver constant flow with fully adjustable aeration direction and increased surface agitation...and they remain silent at all times. The custom air valve regulates air flow, the air filter eliminates noise and dust, and the intake strainer keeps debris from fouling the impeller...that's efficiency. New longer 10 ft power cord makes placement easy.
MD86608 (170 gph) has reverse flow capabilities to send oxygenated water deep into the gravel bed. Has reusable, slide-off sponge pre-filter. When used in the normal fashion with an undergravel filter, the sponge expands the bacteria bed and provides an additional biological filter. |

POWERSWEEP 212 AQUARIUM POWERHEADSNot just an ordinary powerhead. PowerSweep's head rotates back and forth, creating currents and circulating water as it pulls. Ends the problem of "dead zones" in the tank. For both Freshwater and Marine Tanks!
ZMPS10: 125 GPH: Tanks up to 20 Gallons If you will be using two powerheads in one tank, you may use two smaller ones instead of one with the maximum circulation you need. We recommend that the water circulate at least 5 times per hour (or more) for best filtration. |

RIO PLUS AQUA AQUARIUM WATER PUMP & POWERHEADHigh performance pump/powerhead, yet priced for the hobbyist. Water Circulation is important to a healthy closed aquatic environment. Without it, the system can become unstable, leading to the growth of algae and other unhealthy substances. This is true for both freshwater and saltwater. The most efficient way to move the water is by using a pump and/or powerhead. Designed with next generation magnetic-rotor technology, the Rio® Plus Aqua Pumps and Powerheads offer the best high-performance solution in the aquarium industry. The ceramic shaft and durable high-impact plastic make the pump reliable and long lasting. Magnetic rotor technology offers low maintenance and high reliability. And, although the Rio Plus delivers a high flow rate with tremendous pressure capability, it is quiet to operate. The largest and most powerful models provide excellent performance within wet or dry filters and in venturi protein skimmers when high pressure and flow rates are needed. Reliable and quiet, Rio® Plus Aqua Pumps and Powerheads do not use oil to operate so they cannot contaminate the aquatic environment Other features of the Rio® Plus Aqua Pump and optional Powerhead include energy efficiency, low-heat operation and a flow rate intended to keep electric bills low. The fully submersible Rio® can be used in both freshwater and saltwater.
